Why a Union?
The SJU ASA represents some thirty full-time professors and an academic librarian.
It develops and protects its Members' working conditions and professional interests.
It negotiates and preserves a range of employment conditions including, but not limited to, salary, benefits, employer-employee relations, tenure, and promotion. It also safeguards academic freedom. In general, the Association supports its Members in attaining those conditions necessary for robust research and quality teaching.
